The Harvey Golf Club thanks all the businesses and individuals that
sponsor competitions throughout the year.
It is through the generosity of these people that golf
is able to continue and thrive in our community.

This page will provide a 4 weekly cycle of events and winners from the regular Saturday fixtures at the Harvey Golf Club. Take the time to see the major winners and find out who is helping us to keep golf alive and exciting in Harvey. When we can, there will be pictures from the day and contact details for the sponsors. Harvey Open 2008


The 9th annual Harvey Open Golf Event was conducted over the weekend of  14th 15th and 16th November with ever improving numbers participating.

Friday 14th saw some 63 pairs contesting trophies sponsored by Digby Shepherd's  Everyones Realty. The winner of the day was the father and daughter combination of Colin and Kate  Goddard of Binningup with a massive 54 points. Runner-up on 49 points were Harveys Murray Klumpp and Ross Warburton.  3rd place went to Ray Jones and Michael Lowe, also of Harvey on 48 points, who counted out Peter Castelli and Craig Williams,  also from Harvey into 4th place..

 The Mixed team trophy was won by Marion Torr and Robyn Peet on 49 points also from Harvey with Ken and Linda Ritchie of Serpentine being runner-up on 48.

The gross saw Mandurah pair Mitch Roberts and Kevin Burton take the honours on 38 points from Harveys Ray Dunne and Gavin Adams on 34.

The highlight of Friday was Adrea Riggir  of Gosnells scoring a hole in one on the par 3 number 1..

Saturday and Sundays 36 hole event had some 180 players each day contesting for the honour of having their name on the honour board and this year  Harvey  Junior member Blake Scott held it all together when he scored 42 points Saturday and 39 points Sunday,  totalling 81 points to win by one point from Mandurah player Kevin Burton 80, counting out local player Dave Oshaughnessy into 3rd spot. Serpentines Trevor Brown scored 77 to take4th. The ladies 36 hole winner was Bunbury player Beverley Hopley 76 from Harveys  Vicki Frost 73. The gross went to Pinjarra player Craig Splatt 56 from Binningups Steve Kilfoil 54. Ladies gross on 40 points was Shaureen Greeffe of Harvey with Pam Bush  WAGC runner-up on 38. Veterans was a popular result with Harry Blackburn of Harvey winning on 74 points from Harveys Murray Amato 72. The Ladies winner was Jan Munday of Binningup 68 points with Lyn Eggerton Green Harvey 67 being runner-up.

Saturdays Nett for men was won by Brian Blackburn (Harvey ) 41 points  from Ming Yap (Harvey) 40. Ladies winner Deidre Peck (Chequers) 38 counting out Cheryl Kowald  (Mandurah) The gross saw John Parton (Harvey) win  on 31 points from Secret Harbours Quinton Murphy 30.

Sundays nett for men  Graham Collins (Harvey) 40 from  Trevor Soward 40 with the ladies winner being Denise Fazzolari (Harvey) 41 from Pinjarras Yvonne Bower 36. Michael Lucas (Harvey ) took out the gross on 30 points from Hartfields Tom Chalker 29 points.

Cec Holman and Jamie Morley Stableford

It would seem that Blackbeards pirate ship dropped anchor again  at the Harvey Golf Course when players produced some extraordinary scores in competition for  the Cec Holman- Jamie Morley stableford event. Neil Ladhams won the day on 43 points counting out Brian Hunter also 43 and Chris Deblank 3rd also on 43. Evan Dunstan produced his best score for many a long day when he carded 42 points  from Craig Williams 41 points, and Graeme Cole also 41 points winning the gross with 73 off the stick. Cec Holman was next on 40 points (77 off the stick)  from Carl Carulli and Andy Mclean. Mclean being runner-up to  the gross. Scott Faulkner (Waroona) had 38 as did George Tkachenko and John Powell. Novelties were shared by  Trevor Bryant, Lyn Eggertongreen , Cole,  Carulli,  Williams, and Peter Bacon.
